The AMR was established for the Educational and Charitable benefit of our communities and for the welfare and prevention of cruelty to animals. The AMR is an established Adoption Center and Sanctuary for abused, neglected, unwanted farm animals and livestock headed for un-warranted slaughter.
Alpine Theatre Project
Since 2004, the Alpine Theatre Project, a professional Equity theatre in the heart of the northern Rockies, has been presenting productions in the Flathead Valley featuring nationally recognized talent from New York’s Broadway community and beyond. In a few short years, it has become one of the most talked about cultural traditions in western Montana.
Animeals
AniMeals is a non-profit animal food bank and no-kill shelter with services provided throughout Western Montana. Our mission since 2003 is to end hunger & keep pets in their homes by providing food to animal rescue groups, shelters, humane societies, and housebound/disabled households.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Bigs and Littles have fun together — and create memories that last a lifetime. We call it “Little moments … Big magic.” Research on our volunteer programs points to the powerful, positive, lasting impact Bigs have on children’s lives. Littles are:

Conrad Mansion
The Conrad Mansion in Kalispell, Montana sits proudly today on the edge of the original town site, atop a bluff overlooking the valley and the Swan mountain range. When Charles E. Conrad, a founder of Kalispell, arrived in the Flathead Valley in 1891, this lovely town with its tree-lined streets was still but a dream. But Conrad had vision, and he felt that not only had he found a good investment opportunity, but also a permanent home for his descendants.
Encounter Entertainment
Encounter Entertainment is a U.S. based media arts production company which develops and produces film, television and documentary projects. Along with various projects currently in development, EE is also dedicated to contributing to the improvement of young people's lives through the arts. The Empowerment through Performance workshop series is a program that was created by EE specifically to help young people find and share their voice. Through unique performance techniques, character development and team-building exercises, self-esteem is developed and creativity is nurtured.
Flathead Attention Home
The Flathead Attention Home, a program of Youth Homes, is our Valley's local, state licensed shelter care program for at-risk youth. For ten years they have been caring for kids and assisting them in 'finding security, a sense of belonging, and a place to call home.' They have worked with over one thousand youth and in that time have learned that the work they do would be impossible without the support of our community. Some say it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes it takes a whole Valley.
Glacier National Park Fund
The Glacier National Park Fund supports the preservation of the outstanding natural beauty and cultural heritage of Glacier National Park for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations by fostering public awareness and encouraging private philanthropy.
Glacier Symphony and Chorale
A full regional, community symphony orchestra that performs a variety of musical selections, including classical, holiday and pop concerts each season, October through July. Their concerts often feature world-class and emerging great artists.

A 75 voice, auditioned, adult symphonic choir that performs the great orchestral and choral repertoires. They perform with the orchestra for holiday concerts, while spring concerts may feature operettas and worldwide musical selections. 

Hope Ranch
Our mission is to rescue girls from destructive lifestyles, heal them in a safe place, and caring Christian environment, and prepare them for healthy, productive lives.

Humane Society of Northwest Montana
Our mission is to promote compassionate care, perpetuate the bond between animals and humans, and end the destruction of healthy, adoptable pets so that every animal finds a loving home.

Human Therapy on Horseback
The primary function of the organization is to solicit through donations or grants to provide financial assistance for qualifying individuals with physical, mental or emotional conditions, in order that they may benefit from therapy on horseback. HTH does not own horses nor do we provide the therapy.
Kalispell Samaritan House
Far more than just a meal and a bed for the night, the Samaritan House is Montana's premiere homeless shelter and transitional living program providing a broad range of services and supports to help them break the cycle of homelessness in their life.
Montana Log Jam
Log Jam, Incorporated is a non-profit corporation organized to financially and emotionally assist families of Montana loggers, log truck drivers, chip truck drivers and mill workers lost in work-related accidents. The Board of Directors has established that these families are to receive 25% of the fund balance up to a maximum of $10,000.00 as soon as possible. The fund was established in 1989 by founders Kathy Hardy and Doug Brown to provide the timely, and much needed support for others that find themselves faced with a tragedy of losing a loved one.
North Valley Hospital Foundation
A non-profit, community music school for all ages and levels of students, offering private instruction, early childhood music, performing ensembles, group classes, workshops and summer camps for all ages.

Rolling Dog Ranch
The Rolling Dog Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Montana rescues and shelters disabled animals. Every animal who arrives at the sanctuary gets another chance to have a safe and loving home. Our residents include blind dogs, blind horses, deaf dogs, blind cats, and animals with other neurological and orthopedic disabilities.
Stumptown Art Studio
Stumptown Art Studio is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, established in 1995 in Whitefish Montana. All proceeds from sales at the Ceramics Annex go directly towards art programs for children and adults. Stumptown Art Studio is made possible by the support of our community through memberships, donations, volunteers, grant attainments and fundraisers. Adults and children may take classes in fine arts, pottery, sketching, painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass fusing and more. Under one roof, this all encompassing art studio also offers art gallery space, an artist co-op, workshops, lectures, and provides hands on art activities for local and regional community events.
Stumptown Historical Society
The Society was founded in 1982 by a group of individuals committed to preserving the history of Whitefish and the Flathead Valley for the present and future. Since its inception the Society has grown to over 200 members from all parts of the United States and Canada.

The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce is here to serve you! We promote our members through our visitor center referrals, our web site, and our monthly newsletter. We create monthly networking opportunities for you to meet your future customers or business connections.

We serve as an information bank, supplying you with valuable community information. We promote community events to establish a positive image of our area as a great place to work, live and do business.
Whitefish Community Foundation
The Whitefish Community Foundation was formed in 2000 by a major gift from the owners of Alpine Village Market and Laundry. They wanted to do something for the community, which would provide the beginning of a permanent resource for the needs of the future. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and an Advisory Council of Whitefish volunteers who are committed to gather the necessary resources to carry out the Foundation’s mission.

Whitefish Winter Classic
The Whitefish Winter Classic is an annual charity event that raises money to assist Flathead Valley families with pediatric medical related costs that are not covered by insurance. Approximately $50,000.00 annually is given to local families whose children are in need of medical care elsewhere outside Northwest Montana. For the Children, Inc. picks up where insurance leaves off, covering items such as transportation, housing and specialty equipment. All events take place in Montana's Flathead Valley...
Whitefish Winter Carnival
Once upon a time, there lived a god named Ullr who reigned over winter activities in the Nordic regions. Aiding him were his Prime Minister and Queen, who were skilled in creating the beauties of winter...  When the February flakes fly in the village of Whitefish, Montana, the town gathers to celebrate a unique tradition of fun, frivolity and friendship known as Whitefish Winter Carnival.
