Whitefish Winter Classic - March 11-14,
2010 The Whitefish Winter Classic is an annual charity event that raises money to assist Flathead Valley families with pediatric medical related costs that are not covered by insurance. The Winter Classic weekend packs in events open to the public: some are free, just emphasizing kid-fun; others aim to raise money. What was there? Whitefish Street
Scenes of the Past -
Throw in a
brothel, railroaders and a rowdy bar called the Pastime and you
get a unique place called Whitefish. The History of Whitefish
program series continues as Jill Evans and Walter Sayre of the
Stumptown Historical Society answer the question - "What Was
There? Whitefish Street Scenes of the Past" on Tuesday, March
16, 2010 at 12:30 pm at the Whitefish Community Center (121 E
Second St.). Did you know there was a bowling alley and hotel
where Markus foods stand today? Jill and Walter will have
photographs of Whitefish dating back to 1900, showing how
Whitefish has changed over the years. This free program is open
to all community members. Audience stories and photos are
