Glacier High School
Students Travel to Washington D.C. to Compete in National Finals After winning their second state title in "We The People: The Citizens & The Constitution" Competition, 23 Glacier High School Seniors attended the National Finals Competition in our Nation's Capitol. The program brings students from all parts of the country together to showcase their understanding of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights through simulated congressional hearings. One of the Judges for this year's competition was a retired member of the Oregon Supreme Court who commented that, "...students often bring insights into matters of constitutional interpretations that are new to us." Students who have participated in this program come away with a better understanding of our governing process, civic responsibility, and community involvement. The team of students are lead by Richard Hildner who teaches the A. P. Government class at Glacier High School. Listen to Interview with Richard Hildner, click here |

Giving Back to Our Soldiers There is no better time than now to show appreciation and honor our men and women in the armed forces, who sacrifice greatly on a daily basis to ensure our freedom. Many organizations in Montana and around the country work tirelessly to make sure that our military men and women deployed in combat zones receive care packages from "home." One such organization is Adopt A Troop in Columbia Falls, Montana. This year, we at WhitefishRadio.com teamed up with Montana Coffee Traders to donate 50 bags of coffee to Adopt a Troop. We encourage everyone to get involved with a military organization in your area to provide support and encouragement throughout the year. Ross Strauser interviewed Co-Director of Adopt A Troop, Kathie VanDeraa.
