Rick’s Whitefish family heritage dates back to 1913, as most of his family worked for the Great Northern Railway. His parents Jim and Jackie Donahue along with brother Terry, gave Rick the joy of sledding the hills surrounding city beach,
taught him to ski at Little Mountain, and dropped him off daily
at the Whitefish Lake Golf Club.

This Whitefish native attended the
very first Whitefish Winter Carnival and began her path to the
50th Queen of the Snows in 1972 with her selection as a Winter
Carnival Princess.

Ross Strauser was born in the
farm country of Wolf Point Montana with a golden microphone in
hand. After many years of broadcasting in several radio markets
from Minnesota to Montana, Strauser settled in Whitefish in
1989.

Born in Oregon and raised in Idaho, Janet McIntyre has resided
in 6 of the western states but has never felt more at home
anywhere than Whitefish. After graduating from Westmont College
in Santa Barbara, CA with a teaching credential, she began a
15-year career as a Flight Attendant.

Tyler Schiff has been knighted as only the second Herald the Hark in 50 years of Whitefish Winter Carnival history. Tyler is a junior at Whitefish High School and a fun-loving young man.

Jack Benjamin Hyer has been a
resident of Whitefish for a total of ten years. Having lived in
San Francisco for about three years, Jack is a fan of the
Whitefish lifestyle.

Rachel Riel was born in Texas, lived in Ohio and settled in Whitefish about five years ago. She instantly made new friends and loved her new home town. Rachel has been involved in competitive cheerleading since 4th grade.
